Repeat Prescriptions & EPS

If you need regular prescriptions you may be put onto the repeat prescription system. Your computerised prescription is in two parts. The left hand section is the one you hand to the chemist. You should keep the right hand section to return to the surgery. When your next repeat prescription is due – you should tick only the items you require.

Patients can order repeat prescriptions by calling into the practice with their repeat prescription slip. Always allow sufficient time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready for collection.

We also take prescriptions by fax, postal requests and from 1st February 2013 via EMIS Access. Please allow 1 week before your prescription is due to allow time for the practice to receive your request and process.

Medication review – This is a date by which time you will need to see the doctor so that your continued need for the prescription can be checked.

Repeat dispensing – If you are eligible you can join this scheme whereby you do not have to attend the surgery to request your medication. You just need to attend your allocated chemist monthly to collect your medication. Ask our receptionist or your usual chemist for details.

Please leave 48 hours before collecting your prescription.

Please ask the reception staff for further advice on ordering repeat prescriptions.
